Next week I’ll be involved in two types of simulation activities. First, Karen Barton and I are travelling to Franklin Pierce Law Centre, Concord, New Hampshire to train around eight standardized clients for the Daniel Webster Scholar Honours Programme there. We’ll spend two intensive days training lay people to be SCs, ad amongst others we’ll be meeting Beth Harwood, who runs the SC programme at Dartmouth Medical School (she and others will be observing at the sessions). We then travel to Baltimore where the CALI conference is being held this year and where, at John Mayer’s invitation, I’ll be talking about transforming legal education. Karen and Patricia will be giving a session on their SIMPLE simulation project, and we’ll also have another session on using the software for those interested taking part in the SIMPLE second-wave. We’ll be blogging as we go.
